The Light In You – Luke 11:33-36 CG Curriculum


  • It is not having doubt that is the problem it is how we deal with our doubt. How have you dealt with doubt in the past?


    Read Luke 11:29-36

  • Jesus is dealing with a crowd that is unsatisfied with who he is and is asking for a sign, what does Jesus point to as the only thing necessary to convince them of the truth?

  • Read 1 Corinthians 15:2-5 & Ephesians 1:17-21

  • Discuss how and why Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection is more than enough to satisfy our doubt.
  • In Luke 11:33-36 we read that if our perception of Jesus is right we will see him rightly but if it is not we could miss him.
  • Are things in your life that could be affecting how you perceive Jesus? Discuss ways in which we can maintain a proper view of Jesus.
  • Are there things you need to give? Are there things you need to pick up? Explain.
  • How we approach God in our time of doubt can make all the difference in how we perceive Jesus. Discuss what it practically looks like to approach God in humility.
  • Take a few moments and talk about how you personally know that God loves you despite your circumstances and share with each other things that have motivated you when difficult things happen in life.


  • Close in prayer and worship to Jesus, the only true King that is deserving of worship!
